The Denver Broncos shocked the league when they parted ways with their starting quarterback Russell Wilson this offseason. Especially after they had just signed him to one of the most lucrative deals in NFL history. But just a year after dealing away one Wilson, Broncos fans are now clamoring for head coach Sean Payton to start another.

Fans Demand Zach Wilson Replace Bo Nix
College standout Bo Nix was named the Broncos starting quarterback to start the season. But with the team having just one win this season, fans believe it is already time to move on from the seasoned rookie.
Nix had an abysmal first half in the Broncos matchup with the New York Jets on September 29. He completed just 7/15 passes for -7 yards. It was raining pretty profusely at MetLife Stadium during the matchup. But Broncos fans weren't accepting any excuses. Many of them were demanding that former Jets quarterback Zach Wilson replace Nix in the second half.
"It's halftime of jets-broncos. Go look at Bo Nix's stat line," one user said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Zach Wilson revenge game throw him out there," another user said in response to the above tweet.
"Bo Nix f*****g blows, put in Zach Wilson please," another user added.
Aaron Rodgers Gets Candid on Relationship With Broncos QB
The Jets selected Zach Wilson with the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. But despite an impressive college resume, that game never translated to the pros.
Wilson was never able to lead the Jets to the postseason as a starter. And when Aaron Rodgers became a free agent the Jets didn't hesitate to sign him signaling a new era in New York. But despite being replaced by Rodgers he was able to become a mentee to one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Rodgers says that even though Wilson is now in Denver he still extends his mentorship to the young quarterback.
"I still keep tabs on him, keep in touch here and there," Rodgers said Wednesday. "I love Zach, and always looked at him like a little brother, and you know, I enjoyed our time together on and off the field, and I wish him all the success. I was really happy for him the way he finished up preseason and you know, I think this will be a good year for him to kind of reset, and hopefully he gets an opportunity down the road."
