Former New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard and former Miss Peru Camila Escribens won't be walking down the aisle after all. Specifically, their wedding is off.

Lazard and Escribens have ended their relationship and called off their engagement, TMZ Sports reported, less than a year after welcoming their first child together.
Sources told TMZ that the two have gone their separate ways despite already sending out invitations for their wedding.
Exactly what happened remains unclear.
Lazard proposed to Escribens in May 2025 during an elaborate beachfront setup in Montauk, New York. The NFL receiver got down on one knee along a candlelit path surrounded by white flowers, with a heart-shaped floral display and "Will you marry me?" sign waiting nearby.
"Onto the next chapter," Escribens wrote when announcing the engagement on Instagram.
That chapter turned out considerably differently than expected.
The couple revealed in July 2025 that they were expecting a baby girl, who was born that October. Their daughter is now less than a year old.
There have also been some noticeable changes on social media. Escribens, who was crowned Miss Peru in 2023, has removed her engagement announcement and references to Lazard from her Instagram account. Lazard also deleted a Valentine's Day tribute in which he had called Escribens his "number 1 supporter," best friend, soul and forever love.
Neither has publicly explained the breakup.
Their relationship first became public in 2024, with Escribens frequently attending Jets games to support Lazard.
Now, little more than a year after the proposal and only months after becoming parents together, the engagement is officially over.
