After seven years out of the NFL, former Alabama and San Francisco 49ers running back Glen Coffee is attempting an NFL comeback.

Coffee played one season for the 49ers in 2009 before retiring in 2010 and enlisting in the Army.
Coffee is currently a paratrooper in the Army, but he has been reinstated by the NFL.
In his one season with the 49ers, Coffee rushed for 226 yards and a touchdown as a backup to Frank Gore. San Francisco drafted him with the No. 74 overall pick of the third round.
During his last year at Alabama in 2008, Coffee rushed for 1,383 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Coffee is only 29, and he's still in good shape since he's been in the Army for the last few years. Some team might be willing to give him a shot in a backup role next season.
