New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett is a little short on kind words when describing his time with the Chicago Bears and why the team floundered while he was there.

In a recent segment on ESPN's E:60 program, Bennett said the reason why Chicago was unsuccessful during his three seasons there is because the team was made up of "bitches."
"We just had a bunch of bitches on the roster," he said. "That's why we didn't win games, and coaches liked the bitches."
Bennett also offered a similar critique of quarterback Jay Cutler.
"Some guys that you want to be the leader, that's not the guy that's a leader," Bennett continued. "Everyone in the locker room knows that this is not the leader, but this is what you want the face of the team to look like."

Bennet's production in Chicago in no way mirrored the team's misfortunes. From 2013-2015, he caught 208 passes for 14 touchdowns. He made the Pro Bowl in 2014 with 90 receptions while the Bears sputtered to a 19-29 record during the same span.
He was traded to New England this past spring and, as expected, Bill Belichick is making good use of his 6-7, 250-pound target. Through five games, Bennett has posted 21 catches for 314 yards and four touchdowns.
