Jordan Reed has had a long and odd year with the Washington Redskins. While he's had a solid year catching the ball 61 times for 646 yards and five touchdowns, it's not nearly as good as his career-best season last year. He had almost 1,000 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns in 2015, but he's also been dealing with a serious should injury this year.

It's been so bad that he's been shut down, at least for this week against the Chicago Bears.

However, that's only the beginning of the story. Without Reed in the game, quarterback Kirk Cousins could have quite a difficult day.

The Redskins likely need to win their last two games of the season to get into the playoffs with some help from other teams. With games against Chicago and the New York Giants left, there's a chance that could happen and a win over the Giants likely locks them up a playoff spot.
