Lee, 31, was denied bond Wednesday in a Tennessee courtroom after being hit with charges of first-degree murder and evidence tampering.
Prosecutors didn't hold back. They laid out a disturbing crime scene that spanned nearly every room in the Chattanooga-area home, and even extended to a car in the garage.
"There was blood going up the staircase, on the walls, on the floors, everywhere," testified Detective Brian Lockhart. "The scene was in disarray."
The autopsy confirmed the horror. Perpétuo was topless, with massive blunt force trauma, a broken neck, facial injuries, stab wounds, and bite marks on her shoulder and thigh. Her official cause of death was listed as blunt force trauma.
Lee allegedly called 911, claiming she fell in the shower due to narcolepsy. Officers arrived to a blood-soaked house and found her body on the floor. Cleaning supplies, including bleach wipes and spray, were discovered upstairs.
The former first-round pick — taken No. 20 by the Jets in 2016 — had already been on probation for aggravated assault in Florida and moved to Tennessee without permission.
He'll remain in custody until his next court date on March 9. Prosecutors have confirmed they will seek the death penalty.
