Former NFL kicker Jay Feeley calls Tim Tebow "single-worst QB I ever saw"

Even though he has been signed by the Philadelphia Eagles, Tim Tebow still has some work to do to make the roster. As it stands, he is the fourth quarterback on the depth chart. Most teams only carry three quarterbacks, but reportedly the team is interested in trading away third-string QB Matt Barkley.

But the way former NFL kicker Jay Feeley sees it, Tebow should not be on a roster because he's the worst quarterback ever he's ever seen.

"He's such a dichotomy for me. Because I really respect the person, the man, the things that he believes in and the things he does off the field," Feely told Jim Rome. "He was the single-worst quarterback I ever saw in my career in the NFL."

For his career, Tebow has completed less than 50 percent of his passes (47.9 percent), which is terrible. But he has worked with quarterback guru Tom House to fix his throwing mechanics. For his sake, he also needs to become a better practice player. Feeley recalls one time where Tebow looked horrendous.

"I watched him one day ... I sat and watched him do routes on air with Ken Whisenhunt as we were playing the Broncos," Feely said. "And routes on air, there's no [defensive backs], you know exactly what he's going to run, there's no pass rush. He had like 13 incompletions on routes on air. Jim, you and I could go out and do routes on air and we would complete most of our passes."

Feeley does think that Eagles head coach Chip Kelly will "utilize" him, but only because Kelly believes he is smarter than everyone and can insert any player and be successful.

We'll see if it works out this offseason for Tebow.
