Davone Bess, a 30 year old former NFL player, was arrested early Monday morning after he reportedly fled from police officers following a traffic stop and barricaded himself in his car before running into his home, per AZ Central.
According to the report, Bess was taken into custody after police and SWAT officers obtained a warrant to enter his home around 4:45 a.m.
Bess was held on suspicion of three felony charges: endangerment, felony flight and failure to stop for a police officer, per the report.
Bess played six seasons in the NFL (five with Miami, one with Cleveland) registering 363 receptions for 3,809 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Bess's career ended after the Browns put him on a "non-football illness list with emotional distress." He posted a picture of himself with what reportedly appeared to be marijuana and was arrested a week later after he was accused of assaulting a police officer.
