Former NFL Player Gosder Cherilus Arrested For Urinating On Another Passenger While Aboard Flight To Ireland

Former NFL offensive tackle Gosder Cherilus, 40, allegedly peed on a fellow passenger while on a Delta airlines flight that departed from Boston, Massachusetts and was heading to Dublin, Ireland.

The incident occurred around 2 am Sunday, as local state police say they were called to the Logan Airport after Delta Flight 154 was returning due to being diverted "because of an unruly passenger who urinated on another passenger on board."

Cherilus, the main culprit was then taken off the plane as he was charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing a flight crew.

Police went on to note, "Upon arrival at Terminal E, State Police Troop F and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) personnel boarded the aircraft and identified the suspect as Gosder Cherilus, 40, of Wakefield."

As the police also highlighted in their statement, "Troopers verbally commanded Cherilus to leave the plane, but he became irate and uncooperative. Eventually, Troopers escorted Cherilus to the jet bridge and placed him under arrest."

As the flight had to be canceled due to Cherilus' behavior, the others on board were booked onto a new flight Sunday night.

Delta told the DailyMail.com, "Delta has zero tolerance for unlawful behavior and will cooperate with law enforcement to that end. We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travel."

As for Cherilus, he was arraigned in East Boston District Court on Monday, and was later released on a $2,500 bail.

In view of Cherilus' career on the gridiron, he was drafted out of Boston College with the 17th overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. He went on to play 132 total NFL games throughout nine seasons in the league, as a member of the Lions (2008-2012), Indianapolis Colts (2013-2014), and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2015-2016).
