Fredd Young, a four-time Pro Bowl linebacker and one of the top players in Seattle Seahawks history, has died. He was 64.

Young's death was reported Tuesday by the Seattle Times. A cause of death was not immediately disclosed.
A third-round pick out of New Mexico State in the 1984 NFL Draft, Young made an immediate impact in Seattle. As a rookie, he became the first AFC player selected to the Pro Bowl strictly as a special-teams player who was not a return specialist.
That turned out to be the beginning of an impressive run.
Young made the Pro Bowl in each of his four seasons with the Seahawks, from 1984 through 1987. His final year in Seattle was his best, as he earned first-team All-Pro honors from the Associated Press.
His time with the franchise ended following a contract dispute. Seattle traded Young to the Indianapolis Colts in 1988 in a blockbuster deal that brought the Seahawks two first-round draft picks.
Young played three more seasons with Indianapolis before his NFL career ended after the 1990 season.
In all, he appeared in 101 regular-season games, making 79 starts.
Young's impact in Seattle endured long after his playing days. He was later named among the 50 greatest players in Seahawks franchise history.
