Former NFL second-round pick arrested on domestic battery by means of deadly weapon charge

The former NFL fullback is in serious trouble.

Former NFL player Roosevelt Potts was arrested Thursday after reportedly using a knife to cut a woman in two places on her right shoulder, per Indy Star.

According to the report, an argument began after he returned from a day of golfing and gambling, and it  quickly escalated. The woman reportedly grabbed a knife to slash his tires, when Potts snatched another knife and allegedly attacked her.

He was booked on one count of domestic battery by means of a deadly weapon and one count of criminal recklessness .

Police also reportedly learned of at least two other prior instances of domestic violence while investigating the incident.

Potts, 45, played with the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens during his five-year career.
