Former pro wrestler, now UFC fighter CM Punk expects to disappoint fans for all the right reasons

The former pro wrestler is ready to get inside the Octagon.

Former pro wrestler CM Punk is expected to make his Octagon debut in the coming months after more than a year of training to be a professional UFC fighter.

Ahead of his first bout, Punk noted he expects fans to be disappointed for all the right reasons, per "The Head Line" and MMAMania.com:

"I expect people to be disappointed," Punk said. "I expect all those people that think I'm going to get knocked out in 10 seconds to be disappointed. I expect people to bet against me and lose their money. I expect people to get divorced because they're upset that their wife wanted me to win and they wanted me to lose, you know?"

Already playing a bit as a bad guy, Punk's personality will shine through in the months leading up to his debut, which is expected to be against 23-year-old Mickey Gall at UFC 199 or UFC 200. Gall (1-0) will face off against Michael Jackson at UFC 196, and if he wins, he'll likely have the opportunity for quite the pay day early in his pro career.
