Former QB A.J. Feeley said Tom Brady was cheating back in 2004

Tom Brady has been labeled a cheater because of his role in Deflategate. Brady was suspended four games for his involvement in deflating footballs in the AFC Championship game, and his legacy has taken hits over the past week.

Pro Football Hall of Famer Chris Doleman said that Brady should have a 25-year ban on entering the hall because he cheated the game — and now, there's a new case of Brady cheating.

Former Miami Dolphins QB A.J. Feeley said he witnessed Brady using doctored footballs back in 2004. At the time, the rules said teams had to play with brand new balls provided by the NFL.

"Prior to Tommy and Peyton Manning going to the league and saying, 'Let us doctor our balls' we used to all play with the same balls," Feeley said on 97.5 The Fanatic. "Somehow this beat-up ball from the ball boy was getting thrown in on offense for New England, yet when we were on offense this orange brand new ball was getting thrown in."

Brady was getting a big advantage back then, and Feeley had a problem with it.

"He's getting his own balls thrown in on offense," Feeley said. "That was an issue to me at the time. . . . We saw it then."

My theory on why nothing was said back then is because no one thought it was a big deal to play with tainted footballs or everyone was doing it in some fashion — like Shaun King alleges in his witch hunt comments. The league obviously thinks playing with doctored footballs is a huge deal as the Patriots got severely punished over it.
