Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray was released by the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday, according to Adam Caplan.

The Rams signed Murray earlier in the offseason, and he competed with Jared Goff and Sean Mannion to make the roster.
Murray was drafted in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. The Arizona Cardinals signed Murray to their practice squad, but they released him shortly thereafter.
The Philadelphia Eagles signed Murray to their practice squad in 2016, and they released him after the year.
Murray hasn't compiled any stats in the NFL, but he was a standout quarterback at Georgia during college.
