Former slam dunk champ takes call from Patriots, tries out for Seahawks

Can he make the transition?

Former NBA slam dunk champion and one-time college football player Nate Robinson is looking to make the switch back to the gridiron and he's had his first tryout, per reports.

Back in April, Robinson told ESPN he had spoken to three teams, so it sound like he's just getting started:

"I've heard from a couple of scouts. I talked to a scout from the Seahawks about the possibility of working out. Calls from a couple of other teams — the Patriots, I know a guy from the Cardinals. So just trying to get my name out to see if I can get a workout. We're definitely going to try to do that once I get back home."

We'll continue to keep an eye on Robinson and what materializes as he continues to push forward.
