Fox has officially moved on from Mark Sanchez. TMZ Sports reports the network has fired the former Jets quarterback one month after he was involved in a near-fatal altercation in Indianapolis.

A Fox spokesperson confirmed the move to TMZ with a short statement. "We can confirm that Mark Sanchez is no longer with the network," it read. "There will be no further comment at this time."
Sanchez was in Indy earlier in October to call Colts vs Raiders. Police say he got into a fight with a 69-year-old delivery driver and allegedly attacked the man, who then reportedly stabbed Sanchez in self-defense.
He was rushed to the hospital with at least one stab wound to his upper torso and was in critical condition that night.
He was ultimately charged with four counts, including one felony battery charge. He was forced to check in at a local jail after he was released from the hospital, before heading back to Southern California.
The alleged victim, Perry Tole, is also suing Sanchez. Fox is named as a defendant as well.
Sanchez hadn't been back on the air since the Oct. 4 incident. The network had Brady Quinn and Mark Schlereth fill in for him. And last week, Fox announced Drew Brees will call NFL games for the network moving forward.
Whether Brees' hiring is directly tied to Sanchez being fired isn't confirmed. But one thing is, and that's Sanchez's run at Fox is officially over.
