It looks like Kirk Cousins wants out of Washington.

Kirk Cousins appealed personally to owner Dan Snyder for a trade but was basically told not to get his hopes up, per sources.

The Redskins slapped the $23.94 million franchise tag on Cousins on Feb. 28, and they have until July 15 to negotiate a long-term deal with their quarterback. But making the request for a trade directly to owner Dan Snyder seems to indicate something has gone wrong the Cousins-Redskins relationship.

Cousin's most mentioned landing spot, the San Francisco 49ers, just signed quarterback Brian Hoyer.
When finalized today, Hoyer's deal w/SF expected to be: 2 yrs, $12m w/ upside to $18m, (2,500 yrds passing, 20 TDs each season), $10m gtd.

But in today's market, his salary is back-up money and shouldn't preclude a deal - if Washington wants to make one.
Financial details of Brian Hoyer's #49ers contract indicate he's far from guaranteed the starting job https://t.co/NWG2MNS2Y6
