Former Tennessee Titans star tight end Frank Wycheck passed away Saturday, at the age of 52.
Wycheck's family released a statement revealing that the Philadelphia native had fallen in his Chattanooga home Saturday morning, hit his head, and was found unresponsive later that day.
A three-time Pro Bowler, and an All-Pro selection in 2000, Wycheck caught 505 passes for 5,126 yards, with 28 touchdowns, during his 11-year career.

The Titans, and Nashville, never strayed far from Wycheck's heart. Prior to his death, Wycheck was an announcer on Titans broadcasts, and hosted a sports talk radio show in Nashville.
Head injuries from his playing career forced Wycheck from his role as the Titans' Color Commentator in 2017.
According to his family's statement, The family, per his wishes, plans to work with experts for on-going brain injury (TBI) and CTE research. Funeral services have not yet been made at this time.
Wycheck, who famously threw the lateral on the kick return that became the 'Music City Miracle' when wide receiver Kevin Dyson took the lateral 75 yards for a touchdown in the 2000 NFL Playoffs, was inducted into the Titans' Ring of Honor prior to the team's season opener in 2013. The 'Music City Miracle' helped propel Tennessee to the Super Bowl that season.

Wycheck, alongside the late Steve McNair and running back Eddie George, was one of the most instrumental players to the Titans' success upon the franchise moving to Tennessee.
Prior to being chosen by Washington, in the sixth-round of the 1993 NFL Draft, Wycheck starred at the University of Maryland. The Terrapins issued a tribute to Wycheck across their social platforms Sunday.

A member of the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, Wycheck leaves behind two adult daughters, Deanna and Madison, both married, and three grandchildren - Leo, Stevie and August.
