Update released on Tom Brady’s mother’s tragic health battle

She was so ill she attended just one of his games last season -- and it was a big one.

Tom Brady's mother, Galynn, was only able to watch her son play once all season due to cancer treatments.

That one game just so happened to be the Super Bowl, and Galynn was able to see her son complete the greatest comeback in NFL history with a 34-28 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Brady's father, Tom Brady Sr., was interviewed by the Boston Globe, and he revealed some positive news about Galynn's cancer treatment.

"She is doing great," Brady Sr. said. "She is getting out and playing golf and tennis and looks wonderful...I think in the dark recesses of every cancer survivor is the thought it could reappear. We simply pray now that after her treatment it never rears its ugly head again."

Galynn's health was kept private throughout the season, and it was only revealed during Super Bowl week.

Hopefully Brady's mother will continue to have good health, and hopefully she will feel well enough to be able to attend more games this season.
