John Harbaugh sounds like a coach who already knows where he wants to start.

At his introductory press conference as head coach of the New York Giants, Harbaugh made it clear he is comfortable with what he is inheriting at quarterback, specifically Jaxson Dart.
"It starts with the quarterback, for sure," Harbaugh said. "You build your team around your quarterback. You build your team around your players and what they do well, and I like the way he plays. I like his talent, skill set, all the things he's accomplished. But more than that, I like who he is and what he's about."
Harbaugh went on to describe Dart as someone who lives and breathes football, a trait that clearly resonates with the longtime coach.
"This young guy loves football. He wants to talk football all the time," Harbaugh said. "That's what I like doing too, so I think we're going to have a lot of great conversations."
While the Giants could still bring in another quarterback to compete, Harbaugh's comments suggested he is preparing for Dart to be the starter, with Jameis Winston serving as the backup. Winston was in attendance for the press conference, and Harbaugh made a point to reference a game from the 2024 season when Winston, then with the Cleveland Browns, threw for 334 yards and three touchdowns against Harbaugh's Baltimore Ravens.
"I saw him complete a bunch of passes," Harbaugh said with a smile, recalling the matchup. "Remember that game? It was a great game, for you."
Harbaugh also expressed confidence in the Giants' overall roster, saying he believes the team has the pieces to win in 2026.
And in his mind, that belief starts under center.
