Giants TE Darren Waller, WNBA Star Divorcing After Just One Year Of Marriage

New York Giants tight end Darren Waller and wife Kelsey Plum, of the WNBA's Las Vegas Aces, are headed for Splittsville.

That was made official in a divorce filing in Clark County, Nevada, reported by multiple outlets, including the New York Post. The couple was married in March 2023.

Plum confirmed the news in a social media post.

"I'm devastated," she wrote. "I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it's time to go.

"God has given me such an incredible life, and I'm truly so grateful for the profound love from my family and friends. One day I'll share my story, today is not that day."

There seems to have been some drama involving the couple earlier this year, with Waller at first making people wonder via a TikTok video.

Per the Post:

"Waller, 31, raised eyebrows earlier this year when he posted a TikTok video that featured him dancing and mouthing the lyrics to a remix of The Delfonics' song 'Think It Over.' The text included in the clip read: 'When ya girl bout to leave you.'"

Waller later told TMZ that he was just joking.

He was traded to the Giants from the Las Vegas Raiders shortly after he and Plum got married. So, at the time they were married, they both lived in Vegas. Now he's in New York. Who knows if that played a role?

Waller is currently said to be weighing retirement as well.

Meanwhile, Plum is preparing for another WNBA season. She concluded her post by writing that she's thankful "for the grace to process my pain, to forgive and move forward."

She added: "Today and every day I will continue to choose joy. Much love KP Philippians 1:6."
