Girlfriend of Joe Alt Goes Viral For Deadpan Reaction After Pick by Chargers

In the spotlight of the NFL Draft, Joe Alt's selection by the Los Angeles Chargers was accompanied by an unexpected twist — the seemingly subdued reaction of his girlfriend, Emilie Meyer, drawing a flurry of attention on social media.

Meyer, adorned in a chic black mini dress, appeared notably composed and perhaps puzzled as the broadcast captured her alongside Alt during the draft festivities at their home. Speculation arose regarding her demeanor, with observers speculating on potential sentiments amidst the excitement of the draft night.

The New York Post relayed a few of them:

"Blink twice if you need rescue," one person wrote.

However, any initial conjecture was swiftly dispelled as both Meyer and Alt were later observed jubilantly celebrating the Chargers' decision to secure Alt as the fifth overall pick, a testament to his prowess as a premier left tackle.

Meyer, a junior athlete at Drake University renowned for her prowess in track and field, hails from the same Minnesota hometown as Alt, forging a connection that transcends their shared high school experiences at Totino-Grace.

As Alt prepares for a new chapter in Los Angeles, the question looms regarding the future of their relationship, with the possibility of a long-distance arrangement looming on the horizon.

But no matter how you spin it, Alt is expected to make an immediate protector for quarterback Justin Herbert, and of course, new coach Jim Harbaugh, who arrives from the University of Michigan.

Per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Alt fits perfectly into what Harbaugh is trying to do. And that would be to win a lot and win big. That should bring a smile to the face of Alt and anyone who cares about him. Eventually, it did.
