Hall Of Fame Wide Receiver Blasts Steelers’ George Pickens: ‘You Got #14 Not Running His Routes Causing INTs’

NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens took to social media on Christmas, as he seemingly had some criticism for Steelers star wide receiver George Pickens.

In response to a post that highlighted Steelers defensive lineman Cam Hayward's comments following the team's 29-10 loss to the Chiefs, Owens spoke his mind.

In view of the play that Owens may be referencing, quarterback Russell Wilson threw a red zone interception when the Steelers were already trailing 13-0 vs. the Chiefs.

And it appeared to some that Pickens may not have been doing what he was supposed to, as Wilson pointed out in the post game interviews that he was expecting Pickens to run his route more vertically.

On the TV broadcast, the replay showed Pickens stopping after five yards, which allowed the safety to cover the middle of the field.

That is to say, Owens may also be hinting at the fact that Pickens sometimes lets his emotions get the best of him, as during the game Pickens appeared upset and threw his weekly temper tantrum on the sidelines.

After the loss, Pickens took to Instagram to post a picture of his catch, along with a message: "Merry Christmas to everyone who grateful."

Pickens ended the game with three catches on seven targets for 50 yards receiving.

All in all, Pickens may want to listen and learn from Owens' comments, as if anyone knows about having an attitude and being misunderstood, while performing at the highest level... it's T.O.

Certainly Pickens, the No. 52 pick in the 2022 Draft, is one of the most talented young players in the league, as he is just 100 yards away from having back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons.

In 13 games this season, the 23-year-old wideout has 58 catches for 900 yards and three touchdowns.

Ultimately, the Steelers (10-6) will attempt to break their three-game losing streak, when they host the Cincinnati Bengals (7-8) in Week 18 (January 5).
