Patriots defender reportedly involved in accident, injuries are considered "serious"

One Patriots player was reportedly involved in a 'serious' accident over the weekend.

New England Patriots linebacker Harvey Langi and his wife were reportedly involved in a car accident on Friday night, sources told Doug Kyed of NESN.

According to Kyed, the couple experienced injuries that "are considered serious but not life threatening."

Langi, a rookie out of Brigham Young, signed a three-year contract with the Patriots in May after going undrafted. His deal was worth $115,000 in guaranteed money, which included a $100,000 base salary and a $15,000 signing bonus, according to NESN.

He was one of four undrafted players to make New England's 53-man roster this offseason

Langi registered one tackle this season during the Patriots' 36-20 win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 2.
