Don't look now, but the heir apparent to Tony Romo may already be on the roster —- rookie Dak Prescott.
While Romo sat out practice to rest, Prescott worked with the first team offense and, according to ESPN's Todd Archer, was "as sharp as he has been all camp."
"In team and 7-on-7 drills, Prescott went 13 of 16, including a 5-of-6 stretch in the two-minute drill. His only incompletion was a spike to stop the clock."
Prescott, who had a stellar career at Mississippi State, fell in the 2016 NFL draft following a DUI arrest and was chosen in the fourth round by Dallas .
Prescott had worked with the first team before, but that was without tight end Jason Witten or receiver Dez Bryant. Having the two best receiving options is sure to give any quarterback an infinite amount of confidence.
