Roxburgh is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, although her connection to the team began somewhat accidentally.
During a January 2026 appearance on TODAY, the actress explained that one of her showrunners gave her a Steelers jacket before taking her to a game. The experience converted Roxburgh, who has since embraced the team.
Pittsburgh even welcomed its celebrity supporter to a Sunday Night Football game at Acrisure Stadium in January.
"Thanks for coming out to SNF, Melissa Roxburgh," the Steelers wrote in a social media post featuring the actress at the stadium.
Roxburgh is best known for portraying Michaela Stone in the supernatural drama Manifest, which originally aired on NBC before completing its run on Netflix. She now stars as former FBI profiler Rebecca "Bex" Henderson in The Hunting Party.
The series follows Henderson and a team of investigators attempting to capture violent criminals who escaped from a secret prison known as "The Pit." Its second season premiered in January 2026.
Roxburgh's adopted team, meanwhile, opened the 2026 NFL season with a 20-13 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
T.J. Watt delivered the defining play, intercepting Cooper Rush and returning it 35 yards for a touchdown. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers later presented new Steelers coach Mike McCarthy with the game ball following his first victory with his hometown team.
Not a bad time for Roxburgh to discover Pittsburgh football.
Of course, the Steelers jacket may have been the easy part. Surviving an entire season as an emotionally invested NFL fan is where the real commitment begins.
