If this coach had his say, Odell Beckham Jr. wouldn’t make nearly as many spectacular catches

New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin loves it when his star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. catches the ball, but he'd rather him do it two-handed.

During Saturdays practice Beckham made a series of spectacular one-handed catches in one-on-one drills against his teammates that did not go unnoticed by coach Coughlin.

"Two hands, please," Coughlin said when asked about Beckham's one-handers after practice. "Two hands on the ball, thank you very much. Ball security as well."

There is a method to Beckham's madness though and it has nothing to do with showing off. He told ESPN it is just a tool he uses in practice to help him focus.

"It gets to a point where you have so much confidence in your hands that you have to try a way to challenge yourself," Beckham explained. "You feel like you already caught it, you don't need to look the ball in, you look away and you start having drops, and it's not because you can't catch, it's just a lack of focus."

While Coughlin would rather see Beckham catch the ball with both hands every time, fans like to be dazzled, just so long it doesn't interfere with holding on to the ball.
