It doesn't seem that long ago since Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons were Super Bowl contenders.
But as wide receiver (now a free agent) Roddy White aged, tight end Tony Gonzalez retired and the offensive line fell apart, Ryan's numbers have dipped.
After leading the Falcons to a winning record in five consecutive seasons, and nearly a Super Bowl berth, Atlanta has won four, six and eight games, respectively, over the last three years.
Those numbers directly correlate with Ryan's interceptions jumping (17, 14, 16) and his touchdowns dipping (26, 28, 21).
Things hadn't quite reached its lowest before Ryan tossed a pretty miserable interception at camp — to his coach, no less.
That's not a direct relation to how he'll play this season, but Falcons fans are hoping the electric Julio Jones and running back Devonta Freeman can give Ryan a hand to getting back on track.
