Following the drop, in-game microphones picked up audio from a dialogue between Lamar and his tight end.

"It's all of us. We're a team. It's all of us. It ain't just you," Lamar said on the sidelines.

The Bills held on to win, 27-25, and after the game, the star quarterback lamented over the two-point loss, but still stuck up for his long-time teammate.

"I'm just as hurt as Mark, it's not his fault," Lamar said. "All of us played a factor in that game, you know it's a team effort. Just not gonna put that on Mark, cause he been battling all season, doing all the great things all season. It don't always go our way."

"Two points, I don't let s*** linger, but I just know how these type of games be," Lamar was heard saying after the devastating loss. "I'm mad bro. I ain't gonna be alright."

The 3x Pro Bowl tight end received much backlash from the fans following the loss. So much so, one joked that Andrews might have to go into the witness protection program.

One fan wrote on X: "I remember ESPN posting a picture of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry the moment Henry became a Raven and asked: 'Who is stopping this duo?' Who would have known the answer was going to be Mark Andrews."

Even the Bills fanbase thanked Andrews for the win, as they started a GoFundMe page with money to be donated (currently at $75,000+) to his charity after the drop, which they credit to sealing their advancement to the AFC Championship game.
