With the NFL Draft right around the corner, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. shifted his focus from purely telling fans where he thinks players will land, and instead selecting players where he would take them if he were a general manager.

And if things play out the way Kiper has them in his mock, Dallas Cowboys might just be the happiest bunch with the most promising outlook of any team in recent memory.
Not only would stud defensive back Jalen Ramsey fall to Dallas, but so would standout running back Ezekiel Elliott, and in the second round no less.
Kiper acknowledges it's crazy to even think of this happening, but it's simply how he values the running back position.
Other notable tidbits:
- LaQuon Treadwell landing No. 10 to the wide receiver-needy New York Giants.
- Vernon Hargreaves shoring up the Oakland Raiders secondary at No. 14.
- The Tennessee Titans passing up on Taylor Decker at No. 15, selecting TCU wideout Josh Doctson and watching Decker fall to division-rival Indianapolis Colts.
- Connor Cook falling to the New York Jets and Robert Nkemdiche dropping to the Washington Redskins in the second round.
- Jaylon Smith is off the board completely in any of the first three rounds thanks to his medical issues.
