NFL insider Tom Pelissero has found a new home for 2026 after previously losing his job in sweeping layoffs at ESPN and NFL Network.

The veteran reporter will join the Netflix family while serving multiple roles. He will join Netflix Gameday as a sideline reporter and NFL insider. He will provide updates about the biggest storylines affecting the streamer's regular-season schedule.
This is a role that Pelissero held at NFL Network for several seasons while helping break stories and provide injury updates.
Additionally, the insider will contribute in the podcast world. He will co-host The Ringer NFL Show and contribute across the platform's other podcasts. This will include making a weekly appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast.

Pelissero will make his Netflix debut in Week 1 as the streamer heads to Melbourne, Australia. He will be on hand for the NFC West battle between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams, which takes place on Sept. 11 in Australia. Fans in the United States will see the game on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 8:35 p.m. ET.
The Netflix schedule will also include the first-ever Thanksgiving-Eve game. This Nov. 25 bout will feature the Green Bay Packers facing off with the Los Angeles Rams.
The third and fourth games on Netflix will both happen on Christmas, Dec. 25. The streamer will first highlight the Green Bay Packers vs. the Chicago Bears (1 p.m. ET). Netflix will then broadcast the Buffalo Bills vs. the Denver Broncos (4:30 p.m. ET).
The fifth and final Netflix game remains a mystery. The game will take place in Week 18, the final week of the regular season. However, the teams will remain unknown until later in the season.
For now, the veteran insider in Pelissero will prepare to take on a new role while continuing to focus on the NFL and the league's biggest stars.
Pelissero is not the only new addition to the Netflix lineup. The Athletic previously reported that Hall of Fame linebacker Luke Kuechly will be the No. 1 analyst while working alongside play-by-play man Noah Eagle.
