With the NFL Draft less than a month away, interest in opposing teams trading up to the top spot has reportedly increased, according to Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson, via NFL.com.
"I would say that with each day we inch closer to the draft, the discussions probably become a little bit more serious, if you will," Robinson said Wednesday, per the Tennessean. "That's something we're going back and forth with. Do we stay put with where we're at, or do we really entertain the thought of moving?
"I would say the interest has increased some. I wouldn't say there are 31 teams calling, but there are certainly teams that have interest in moving up."
Tennessee's positions of need are clear along the offensive line and in the secondary. With Cleveland waiting in the wings to snatch up their choice of quarterback, will another quarterback-needy team (such as the San Francisco 49ers, 7; Philadelphia Eagles, 8; or Los Angeles Rams, 15) opt to leapfrog the Browns and grab their guy?
The MMQB previously noted the Titans have received "significant interest," while putting the odds at 50-50 as to whether Tennessee will move out of the slot.
With a relatively deep draft class, Tennessee could do well by moving down, but staying inside the top 10 to bring in a real difference-maker for a team needy at many positions.
