Dak Prescott showed how to make a preseason debut. The Cowboys' rookie quarterback looked like a veteran in a preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams as he threw for two touchdowns on his first two drives.
He finished 10-of-12 in passing for 139 yards in three drives, with both incompletions coming on drops.
Prescott certainly looked better than two other quarterbacks who made recent debuts. The Eagles' Carson Wentz completed only half his attempted passes in a game earlier this week, none of which was longer than ten yards.
And then there's the Rams' top pick Jared Goff, who was nowhere near as good in his debut in a head-to-head match against Prescott's team. Goff completed 4-of-9 passing attempts against Dallas for 38 yards and threw one interception and no touchdowns.

It's still early in Prescott's career, but he gave Dallas fans plenty of reasons to be confident in their current backup... and possible future starter.
