Jailed former NFL player thought making this threat was a good idea, now he's in even worse trouble

This was about the worst decision he could have made.

Former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was charged with his third felony in less than two years, per Kansas.com, when he threatened to kill a detention deputy on May 14.

Randle was reportedly refused a phone call after he refused an earlier chance and allegedly yelled this at the deputy:

"I will kill you I swear on my life and everything that I have I will kill you when I get out."

Randle, just 24, is being held on a total of $50,000 in bonds.

Last year's starting running back for the Cowboys has been arrested six times in less than two years.

Randle was arrested for stealing underwear and an $80 bottle of cologne at a Dilliard's department store last October.

Per the Dallas Morning News, Commission spokesman Fred Waller said Randle was playing blackjack in November, "being belligerent and causing an issue on the casino floor." He was then asked to leave, "but then he came back into the casino, [their] security was then called, and he was confronted and asked to leave." At that point, "an altercation occurred during which time Randle was resisting, and it took several agents and security guards to get him secured. Then he was transported to the Sumner County jail."

According to a deputy, the charges included making a criminal threat, assaulting a law enforcement officer, battery, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. The deputy added that Randle listed his profession as "NFL player/running back" when he was taken into custody, even though the Cowboys had released him.

Randle was arrested on battery, drug possession and criminal damage charges, according to the Dallas Morning News in February.

His sixth arrest came after failing to appear in court.
