"Get off the f—ing ball! Come on!" the Eagles quarterback appeared to shout at the line of scrimmage during Philadelphia's first offensive possession against the Rams. The comment prompted a quick reaction from the booth.

"Uh oh," analyst Tom Brady said.

"That doesn't sound good," play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt added.

It was an early moment of apparent frustration in what became a difficult afternoon for Hurts and the Eagles. Philadelphia lost 24-20 after taking a 20-10 lead into the second half, dropping to 2-2.

Hurts completed 12 of 27 passes for just 93 yards. Afterward, he put the responsibility on himself.

"I've got to be better," Hurts told NFL reporters. "I've got to figure it out. However it looks, whatever that means, find a way to win the game."

The Eagles had chances to finish off the Rams. Instead, Matthew Stafford led Los Angeles on a late touchdown drive, putting the visitors ahead with 1:10 remaining.

Philadelphia also dealt with injuries. Running back Saquon Barkley exited with a hamstring injury, and right tackle Lane Johnson was a late scratch.

Hurts credited the players who stepped into larger roles, but his assessment of the result was direct.

"We had our opportunities, and we didn't take advantage of them," he said.

His frustration with teammates was audible early. His comments afterward centered on what he needed to fix himself.
