Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston had a remarkable rookie year during the 2015-16 season, and he was rewarded by winning the fan-voted NFL Rookie of the Year award last week. Winston beat out a number of talented rookies for the award, including Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper, Rams running back Todd Gurley, Seahawks wideout/return man Tyler Lockett and Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters.

Winning the award not only was an impressive accomplishment on his part, but it also cemented Winston into a little part of history. The Bucs quarterback is now the first player in history to win both the NFL Rookie of the Year and the Heisman Trophy as a freshman. That's a pretty cool statistic when you consider some of the talented rookies and Heisman winners that have gone through the NFL.
Winston threw for 4,042 yards and 22 touchdowns along with 213 yards and six touchdowns on the ground during his first season in the NFL.
