Jameis Winston Goes Viral After Pre-Game Interview

Ahead of the kickoff of this matchup, Browns starting quarterback Jameis Winston was selected for a pre-game interview as his team entered the field. And as he has done countless times in the past, Winston gave another classic pre-game speech.

"The horse is preparing for battle, but victory comes from the lord," Winston said when asked what it would take for the Browns to win.

Mike Tomlin Gets Honest on Browns QB

There was initially a lot of promise among the fanbase when Winston secured their first win over the Jacksonville Jaguars after their starting quarterback Deshaun Watson was ruled out with a season-ending injury. But since then, the Browns have not had much to celebrate. They are riding a seven-game losing streak with their last win coming on September 15.

However, despite a lackluster season from Jameis and the Browns, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin had a lot of praise for him ahead of Thursday Night Football.

"I think he's still that same guy in mentality. He's a gunslinger, and I say that respectfully in that he has unbelievable arm talent," Tomlin said.

"He's got arm strength. He has the ability to place the ball in tight spaces, and he has the courage to do so. He's a competitor. You know, gun fighters get shot, and when you play a guy who has talent and belief in himself as he does, something's going to happen."

The Steelers coach also alluded to the danger of playing against a quarterback like Winston because he will make a defense pay for their mistakes.

"You better catch interceptions when given an opportunity, because he's going to come at you. If you catch the ball, you may have an opportunity to win the game like the Chargers did a couple of weeks ago. If you don't catch the ball like the Ravens a couple of weeks ago, he's going to throw for 350 and beat you," Tomlin added.

"You just know that going into a game against a guy with a mentality like that, and you've got to respect it."
