Jason Kelce Beloved Dog Dies: 'Lost Part Of My Soul'

Recently retired Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce is entering his new phase alone without man's best friend. Or at least this particular best friend.

Kelce's wife, Kylie, posted as much after their dog Winnie passed away, paying tribute to her on Instagram.

"When I was in high school I had a folder on my desktop labeled 'Gods gift to earth,'" Kelce's wife, Kylie, wrote. "It was images of Irish Wolfhounds that I had collected from Google. I had fallen in love with the breed when I was a young and never let my fascination with them fade. It all led me to Winnie and holy s*** did she live up to the hype."
I love you, Winn," she added. "You will always be my firstborn child."Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce sent along his own condolences in the comments section, writing, "You [gave] Winn an amazing life Ky!!"

Winnie and the Kelces' other dog had their own Instagram page.

"She was everything I had hoped for in a wolfie," Kylie wrote, "and more."

Jason Kelce, 36, retired at the end of the season, spending his entire career with the Eagles (2011-23). He recently said on the Kelce brothers podcast that life feels no different so far.

"I've actually still gone down to the facility to get a couple of weight-lifting sessions in," he told Travis.

"I'm a creature of habit," he continued. "... I feel no different. I'm assuming once, you know, organized team activities (OTAs) start up, and especially once training camp and the season starts rolling around, it'll really start to hit a little bit more. But one week in, yeah, not much different to be honest with you."

He added that he has received "over a thousand" texts from friends and former teammates since he retired.

"Honestly there's been a lot ... it was awesome hearing from guys that I haven't talked to, or teammates I haven't talked to, in years that reached out," he said. "You know guys that, like, you feel like, 'I don't even know if that dude remembers me.'"
