Jason Kelce came to his former head coach Nick Sirianni's defense after his recent spat with some home fans.

The former Eagles center expressed his support for Sirianni during the Monday Night Football pregame show for the Bills and Jets.

"He's passionate. He loves his guys, he loves his team, and you're gonna know that. Obviously, he knows that that was not the right way to handle that situation, you just saw it there, everybody knows that that was inappropriate. But this is a guy that knows that his energy is gonna feed the football team.

"That energy even though it comes out in the wrong way sometimes, like it did at the end of that game, if that is gonna get the best out of him that emotional energy that he can then infuse into other people, I'm all for it."

In the final minutes of Philly's recent win against the Cleveland Browns, Sirianni was caught jawing at some fans sitting behind home bench in Lincoln Financial Field. He deflected all questions about the incident during his postgame interview, saying he was "Just excited to get the win."

Coming into their matchup with the Browns on Sunday, Philadelphia was 2-2 and hadn't scored a single first-quarter point for the season. By halftime they found themselves in a 10-10 tie on against a 1-4 Cleveland team that's one of the worst in the league.

Philly fans let their frustrations be known during the contest, raining down boos as the offense once again struggled to get going. At certain points, portions of the home crowd chanted, "Fire Nick."

Sirianni expressed remorse for his actions and showed love to his home fans during his Monday news conference.

"We have the best fans in the world," he said. "There's no place like this. They show up and show out no matter where they are."
