Jason Kelce Loses Super Bowl Ring In Pool Filled With Chili

When retired center Jason Kelce won the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018, and like everyone else on that team, he had the ring to prove it. But that ring apparently took a turn for the worse.

Actually, the ring seemed to be just fine. Finding it was another matter.

And finding it in a pool full of chili is always going to be a challenge. But that is where Kelce lost it.

The tragedy took place during the live "New Heights" podcast/show in Cincinnati last week, "where one of the events involved students securing a sock with championship-esque accessories — along with the actual ring — in two vats filled with chili, spaghetti and cheese," the New York Post reported.

"There was an unfortunate-ness, as you guys know, this game existed because I continuously lose my Super Bowl ring, and I don't even know if Travis still knows this, but I legitimately lost my Super Bowl ring in this event," Jason said on the latest "New Heights" episode alongside brother Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.

"They could not find it... All of this stuff has been thrown away so I think we can safely assume my Super Bowl ring is now in a landfill someplace in the Cincinnati-tristate area. I didn't think that would happen.

"The only thing I can think of is at some point, the sock got kicked out of the three-way and it made its way out of the pool and that it was thrown away in some shape or form."

"But yes, the Super Bowl ring is officially gone."

What was Jason Kelce doing near a pool of chili in the first place? Well, he was taking part in something known as the Lombaby Games, a wild Olympic-style event in which students compete against each other.

Kelce explained that one of the chili connections contained a sock and some "make-believe rings." Oh, and one real ring — his.

Travis relayed what every brother would probably say in such situations.

"You're such a f-king imbecile," Travis told Jason.

But, hey, at least the ring was insured.

"I think the insurance company might have some things to say about whether they're going to cover that," Jason said.

"Yeah, 100 percent," Travis responded, "especially if you're telling the entire world how you lost it."
