Any good news the Dallas Cowboys receive as it relates to healthy players would be welcomed with open arms. That's because we're just under five weeks until Week 1 of the 2016 NFL season, and the Cowboys look more and more like the Dallas Infirmary with the litany of injuries to their team.

Enter second round pick Jaylon Smith who, though not projected to play until 2017, is actually on track to possibly play late this season if his incredible progression continues.
Smith suffered a horrendous knee injury in January against Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl, suffering nerve damage which appears to be healing nicely.
The Cowboys maintain there's no timetable for Smith's return, saying that he needs his damaged nerves to "fire" before he can think about making a return to the field.
First round pick Ezekiel Elliott went down with a hamstring injury, Tony Romo is still dealing with back stiffness, and reserve quarterback Kellen Moore broke his ankle as Dallas continues to deal with injuries on both sides of the ball.
Though Smith's prognosis is hopeful at best, anything will do for the Cowboys during training camp.
