Jerry Jones finally admits he's just been trolling everyone all along

Jerry Jones really does have his hands in everything single thing concerning the Cowboys.

If it seems like Jerry Jones was at the brunt of every installment of the Tony Romo-Dak Prescott drama that's been popping in and out our lives for the past several months, it's because he was.

In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Jones conceded to roiling the trail a bit during the quarterback controversy for no more reason than to liven things up.

"That's one of those things that makes sports interesting," Jones said. "I do feed that."

And it worked. Particularly after Prescott's shoddy performance against the Giants a couple of weeks ago. Jones hinted at the possibility that Romo could end up replacing Prescott and almost ignited a media firestorm, prompting a backlash from a number of critics.

Perhaps most notably from Cowboys legend Troy Aikman, who said, among other things, he was dumbfounded by some of Jones's comments to the media.

Well, there you have it, Troy. It was all just for show.

"I think there's some of me that wants to [stir things up]" Jones admitted. "That probably is intentional."

As it turns out, Jones could be on to something here. Prescott bounced back in a big way against the Buccaneers with his most efficient outing of the season, completing 32-of-36 passing attempts and playing mistake-free football.

Although, Romo probably wouldn't agree.
