The New England Patriots have been quite fortunate when it comes to having a nice, young stable of quarterbacks behind Tom Brady. They've also been fortunate in that they've been able to trade those guys in Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett and get real value in return. The Pats have had quarterback success recently thanks to Jerry Schuplinski and it appears that he is coming back to groom a potential Tom Brady replacement.

Schuplinski has been with the team since 2013 as an offensive assistant and transitioned to assistant quarterbacks coach in 2016. Before joining the Patriots, he was a special teams coordinator and linebackers coach on the Case Western Reserve football team from 2007 to 2012.
The Patriots drafted Garoppolo in 2014 and Brissett in 2016. Both ended up starting games for the Patriots during Brady's suspension during the 2016 season and played well enough to garner their trades to the 49ers and Colts, respectively.
