Aaron Rodgers Utterly Dominates On Second Day Of Jets Camp

Apparently, taking a little vacation during minicamp and missing all of last season isn't impacting New York Jets star QB Aaron Rodgers. Oh, neither is the fact he's 40 years old.

That's because Rodgers wowed onlookers during his second day of training camp, as noted by multiple media outlets, including the New York Post.

"From the moment that he hit a streaking Garrett Wilson down the left sideline on the first 11-on-11 play of practice — causing a crowd of Jets fans to erupt — Rodgers was on a heater Thursday," wrote Ryan Dunleavy of the Post. "He finished 9-for-12 in team periods."

For the oft-amazing Rodgers, it was just business s usual. And that wasn't even his best of the day.

"During a move-the-ball period from the 30-yard line, Rodgers converted a fourth-down pass to Tyler Conklin and threw a walk-off touchdown pass to Allen Lazard," Dunleavy wrote. "Lazard, who is clearly benefiting from his time-tested rapport with Rodgers through their shared Packers days, then flipped the ball into the stands to a star-struck young fan."

Rodgers appeared in just the first game of last season — his first as a member of the Jets — before suffering a torn Achilles.

As for his "unexcused" absence from minicamp, he reportedly was vacationing in Egypt. But oh well, dude.

This season, Rodgers is 100 percent and is scheduled to open the season on Monday Night Football, as the Jets pay a visit to the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 9.

With Rodgers sidelined, the Jets finished 7-10 last season.
