Jets’ Aaron Rodgers, Robert Saleh’s Bizarre Exchange Draws Mixed Reactions

It is only Week 3 of the NFL season and the New York Jets are already playing their second primetime game of the year. They were unsuccessful in their first matchup, getting trounced by the defending NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers in Week 1.

Robert Saleh, Aaron Rodgers Have Heated Exchange

Tempers flared early between Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and head coach Robert Saleh. They were involved in a heated exchange in the first half of the game.

Saleh and Rodgers had a spirited exchange on the sideline. And apparently, the Jets' leading man took exception to what Saleh said. Rodgers shoved the Jets head coach before walking off.

The exchange drew mixed reactions from Jets fans on social media.

"Not sure but is the Jets locker room in shambles?" one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"I Don't know what he said but he got a nice handful," another said.

"Why does Rodgers always got sum to say man," another user added.

Things haven't exactly been peaches and cream since Saleh took over for the Jets in 2021. He has a record of 19-34 and they have not even come close to sniffing the postseason. Many fans have the mindset that if Saleh doesn't deliver this year, the Jets should make a change at head coach.

Jets Coach Gets Honest on Thursday Night Football Preparation

As the Jets get set to play their AFC East rival New England Patriots, the task will be even more difficult. After playing the Tennesse Titans last Sunday afternoon, the Jets have only three days to recover before playing the Patriots. As for their strategy, Saleh says the Jets are still figuring that out.

"I'll be honest with you, we're still trying to figure it out, too. It's not like we've had [success on Thursday] around here," Saleh said.

"We tried things that we've done in the past at San Fran, whose had success, and it hasn't worked out. We're trying a couple of things this week to see if we can change up our schedule a little to see if we can get our guys going a little bit. "Thursday Night Football" was part of the study in the offseason to see if we can get the ball rolling a little bit quicker."
