Jimmy Johnson was inducted into the Cowboys Ring of Honor in Dec. 2023, but after Dallas fell behind 27-7 at halftime to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card Game, Johnson bizarrely acted on national television as though he was still the Cowboys' head coach.

During the FOX NFL Sunday Halftime Show, host Curt Menefee asked Johnson what he would tell the players in the locker room if he was the Cowboys' head coach.
Johnson proceeded to go on an epic tirade.
"I can't say what I would say if I was actually in the locker room," Johnson said, before angrily pointing at the camera. "I don't need to have people pointing fingers at one thing or the other. You get your rear-end in there and play the way you know how to play. We can win the game.
"We're going to open it up. We're going to go fast tempo. Defense, get after Jordan Love, you can't give him that much time. You do what you're supposed to do, and we'll win this game."

Why Jimmy Johnson Called out The Cowboys
Green Bay dominated the Cowboys in all phases of the game during a shocking first half, including running back Aaron Jones setting the franchise record for most career postseason rushing touchdowns.
Johnson never faced the kind of adversity that Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy must overcome if the Cowboys are going to advance to the NFC Divisional round and avoid an embarrassing exit.
The Cowboys' 20-point halftime deficit is the largest the franchise has ever faced in the playoffs.
Johnson owned a 7-1 record in the NFL Playoffs, with two Super Bowl championships, in his five seasons as Cowboys head coach.
