It's been quite a hectic couple of months surrounding Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor, including asking for a pay raise, a trade request, and getting put on the PUP list, but it appears all of that is behind us per his comments made at an untelevised press conference.

When asked if his trade request has been withdrawn, Taylor responded, saying, "The goal was to be healthy... to go out there and to be able to do what I love. Just play football. So, just going through that journey, throughout this whole time, been a lot of things said... but at the end of the day, the overall goal for everybody was for me to get healthy, and I think everyone is on the same page with that one."
After that, Taylor was asked when he got healthy.
Taylor, the former second-round pick and NFL leading rusher a few seasons ago, said, "Over the course of this whole offseason. There was never a specific date because there's always progression..."
As you can see from the answer, he didn't really answer the question at all and skirted toward his health.
You can also see in the clip above from The Pat McAfee Show that a tweet from Stephen Holder, who covers the Colts for The Atheltic, is provided in which he quotes Taylor, who said, "If somebody wasn't committed, they wouldn't be here."

However, as McAfee points out in his response if Taylor didn't show up and play, his contract wouldn't toll, and he'd be under contract next season with the team, too.
So, the jury is still out on a possible Taylor trade.
The trade deadline this season is on October 31 at 4:00 p.m. ET. We'll see what happens between now and then with the Colts and their polarizing back.
