Jourdan Lewis calls George Pickens 'weak' after altercation

It doesn't appear that Jourdan Lewis and George Pickens will be vacationing together in the future after a contentious end to Sunday night's matchup in Pittsburgh.

"That was fun. Pittsburgh need a receiver. George Pickens weak," Lewis said as he walked down the tunnel after the hard-fought 20-17 Cowboys win.

At first glance, this would appear to be an odd thing for the Cowboys receiver to say after the game. After all, Pittsburgh had eight players catch passes from quarterbacks Justin Fields and Kyle Allen. Pickens was among this group as he caught three passes for 26 yards.

However, the ending of the game provided some context.

Shortly after Dak Prescott threw a touchdown to Jalen Tolbert to take the lead, the Steelers attempted to pull off a miracle. They tried the longstanding play where different members of the offense throw the football to each other in an effort to get one free for a last-second touchdown.

The play did not work as Lewis recovered the football at the 10-yard line to seal the Cowboys win. He then jumped up in celebration and ran toward Pickens.

The audio was not available, but it appeared that Lewis said something to the Steelers receiver. Pickens responded by grabbing Lewis' facemask and yanking him onto the ground.

This on-field incident could have turned into a fight, but the referees quickly jumped in. They kept the Cowboys cornerback from going after the Steelers receiver.

Announcer Mike Tirico responded to the altercation by saying that Pickens would receive a flag for his actions. However, this wouldn't have any effect on the situation considering that the game had already ended.

The expectation from the fans, however, was that the Steelers receiver would ultimately receive a fine from the NFL. Some tried to guess the amount.

Interestingly enough, this incident involving Pickens was not the only one involving Lewis. He had another with Steelers receiver Calvin Austin III.

This particular incident occurred when Austin ran up to Lewis at the goal line and attempted to block him. The two players traded shoves before Lewis tossed Austin onto the ground. The Steelers receiver tried to yank the Cowboys defender down as well, but he didn't have the leverage to pull off the maneuver.
