Four-time Pro Bowler gets huge injury update after leaving his game on Sunday

This is huge for the team.

Atlanta Falcons receiver and four-time Pro Bowler Julio Jones left Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills with a hip flexor injury. He didn't play at all in the second half and the Falcons lost their first game of the season because of his and Mohamed Sanu's injury.

For any injury to keep Jones out of a game is generally thought to be a pretty serious one, but the team does not believe that he will have to miss any games because of it. Coach Dan Quinn said that Jones did try to get back in the game, but he wasn't having it.

"He had trouble just exploding, and if he can't be him, that's a unique thing for him," Quinn said. "The speed, the explosiveness — so when he wasn't able to do that, that's when we had to pull him. He definitely wanted to go."

The Falcons have a bye next week and play the Miami Dolphins the week after. The bye week is likely why the team and Jones believe that he'll be back on the field against the Dolphins.
