According to the Boston Herald, one juror from the Aaron Hernandez double-murder case is claiming that he was invited to Hernandez's funeral on Monday. Juror Robert Monroe says the he received an invite to the funeral, and that Hernandez's attorney — Jose Baez — was offering to rent a bus to get jurors to and from the funeral.

Per the Herald, about 100 people attending the services on Monday in Hernandez's hometown of Bristol, Conn. Monroe says that he turned down the invite, and that he is unsure if any of his fellow juror accepted the invites.

Hernandez was found not guilty of the double murders two weeks ago, and the world was shocked when it was announced that he had committed suicide in a Massachusetts correctional facility. At the time, Hernandez was still serving a life sentence for the 2012 murder of Odin Lloyd, but it appeared that Hernandez and his lawyer were preparing to appeal that decision.
